Q: I have a party to go to that calls for “black-tie” – is it okay to wear a cocktail length dress?

A: YES! In today’s day is certainly apropos to wear a cocktail length dress to a black-tie affair. The trick is to accessorize fancy. Make sure your jewelry, hand bag and shoes are as dressy as you would wear with a full length gown. Take a look at the red-carpet – you always see stars dressed on gowns of all lengths.
